My workplace doesn't offer paid sick leave other than lumping it in with ETO.
As someone with a #disability, this means most of the time I should be using for longer breaks from work are tied up in days when I have no executive function and my body is paying the price.
I haven't taken a real vacation from work since the week before COVID shut America down because I'm also a student and sometimes need to take time off for classes.
We need to do better.
"Just don't get sick" is a terrible plan.

I have heard the term for...at least 13 years, when I was doing my Bachelor's degrees and now again in seminary (the same-ish tradition) but im trying to figure out if it's more of a "local" thing in terms of theology.
To a bigger point, though, it seems to be used mostly by White American Protestants, and I'm wondering if we (my tradition, at least) needs to rethink our use of the term.
Random Church/theology question -
Did/does your church (or theology or theological school or...you name it) talk about doing "incarnational ministry?"
And what theological background do you come from?
@naomilawsonjacobs the whole, "you have [insert dx here]?! I would have never guessed!" Used to give me a sense of pride. Now it makes me sad that either my drs don't understand my diagnoses, so more people will go undiagnosed or that I had to mask for so long it's second nature.
Either way, exhausting.
