Museum ship curatorial work is a unique beast. In a building, you know when the roof is leaking. On a ship, water can leak into some really hard to get to spaces. We have hundreds of them. This week we are on a quest to confirm that everywhere on board is dry. We got pretty dirty.

I've been out in charge of this guy this weekend. He's already broke into the emergency supplies and eaten a bunch of chocolate. He's fine. He thinks he's got super powers because he only needs 3 legs.
A few weeks ago I was doing some research and found out that a painting that hung on my ship during the Korean War was at a local historical society. I looked into visiting them and remembered that I was giving a lecture there. (I do these a lot, I can never remember where I'm going next)
It was nice to come full circle and see it in person today.
