Work has the Copilot integration. I love that when I am writing a document about a subject and I ask it to find a source of information from our SharePoint and the only document it cites is the one I am working on, even though there are others and then it cites me.

That is so useful. A machine that will tell me what I just wrote. I wonder what that kilowatt hour cost.

@techlifeweb

VLC is the way to go.

I bought an Atari Gamestion Go. I got it for the pinball, recharged games, and controls. It has a spinner and trak-ball. Not a bad device, though the pinball app isn't that great.

@JigglyWyvern

I recommend using EndeavorOS instead, which is close to pure arch Linux. Manjaro is a bit less stable, because it uses a gui package manager, which endeavoros does not.

With that, install Steam via pacman. With that you have Proton which will run Windows games. As far as open source and emulators etc, Arch is wonderful because of the online documentation to install stuff with pacman and yay.

With a setup like that you will be pretty setup for gaming and other tasks as well

@blakespot

How is the hardware support? Mostly curious about battery life in comparison to the before and after.

@Ciantic Stock Raspberian works the same as Windows, MacOS, and Linux Desktop.

If you want ChomeOS, just install this on the SD Card instead https://github.com/FydeOS/chromium_os-raspberry_pi

Or install it on a separate card and jump back between Raspberian and Chromium whenever you like.

@Ciantic When you say "reset" are you referring to a stateless system? If so, you could set up your current build to be stateless after you have your ssh and other software ready to go. There are also stateless images available without customizing.

When you reboot, it would return back to the original state. For such a configuration, temp files etc are setup to run from RAM.

@Ciantic It is actually a feature. You can install all sorts of dedicated OS or Linux software configurations to SD and swap them as needed.

Speaking of which, this image is immutable. https://kairos.io/docs/installation/raspberry/

RaspberryPi

Install Kairos on RaspberryPi

@padraig Windows? What is that? Do you mean that OS that my work uses on its bulk-discount laptops that only have 30 minutes of power off of a cradle? Is that what you are talking about? :-)
