@michaelmeckler @sheepnik @salixsericea @twoowls73 I finally had all ingredients in house ând time to make the cake and it's delicious! I'm glad I lowered the sugar amount, one thing I always do with recipes from the US, as they tend to be much sweeter than the European counterparts 😅. Once again my gratitude is great that you shared this delicious recipe. I will certainly add it to my regulars list. 🙏🏼

Een mooi draadje over alt tekst, het waarom en met de vraag waarom er mensen zijn die er zo op tegen zijn. Serieus, ik blijf het bizar vinden dat je wordt uitgemaakt voor alt-tekst-gestapo als je vraagt inclusief te zijn voor mensen die blind zijn. Gek genoeg kan ik de toot wel zien, maar als ik erop klik is het account leeg. Één van beide heeft de andere server geblockt?

The amount of hate I've seen directed at alt-text and at people who ask for, and provide, alt-text recently is disgusting. It's absurd levels of ableism (ableism is prejudice and discrimination against someone with a disability). Alt-text is a disability aid that helps blind and partially sighted people understand the contents of an image when they're browsing fedi using a screenreader. The screenreader reads the contents of a post, and when it comes to an image, it reads the contents - 🧵

@erikvanbeek Als je aan iemand die Koreaans is gaat uitleggen wat kimchi is, kan ik nog steeds een kooksnob zijn, maar dan heb je het wederom niet begrepen. Overigens ging het niet om de kimchi maar dat je iets kwam uitleggen waarvan ik had gemeld het al te kennen. #mansplaining #GeenVermogenTotZelfreflectie
