@Troggie that hashtag gave me a giggle- clever!

@epicdemiologist

Yeah. My parents would only let me use like two of the scissors and hid the nice ones and wouldn't buy the scissors I wanted as a gift because "you have scissors" (even told other people not to get them for me since I had them already)

They came over one day and noticed that I have a big vase and it's full of every kind of scissor, every color and size...

"so, that really was a big deal I guess" my mom said ... I hadn't even really noticed the connection. But it WAS.

@Bubbles So sorry you’re sick. I had Covid this winter and the thing that helped me most was making sure the air was humid. Hot steam showers, humidifier in my bedroom (this was the biggest help- I didn’t actually have a humidifier at the time so I put a big crockpot full of water out and just let it do its thing), drinking lots of tea and the like. I also used a ton of decongestants so the humidity was really helpful. Hope you feel better soon!
@trunksapp I’m definitely too tech illiterate for this space 😭 thanks for the help!
@trunksapp how do you opt out of the AI “formatting” on posts? Is that something that certain users turn on or did Trunks add that and not give users a way to turn it off in settings? I hate it. AI is a huge reason I don’t use any other socials, help!
@courtcan same! I wore that book out
@courtcan omg! This just sent me into a childhood flashback of one of my favorite poems. It’s by Jack Perlutsky, enjoy 😂

@LaurenChesnut being a parent is hard and anything (within reason) to make it easier is fine with me. That said, distractions never worked for me as a kid. My mom tried EVERYTHING to get me to wear socks and I just couldn’t handle the feel of them. She bought every different sock she saw to try to find something! Distraction while trying to slip them on my feet were a common tactic and failed every time. This is one specific example, but distraction never worked for me, I always remembered.
@Nickiquote mini eggs! How can anyone argue?!
@angelfacealien thank you so much for sharing this! Completely breaks my heart because libraries are so special. I’ve already switched back to taking physical copies out instead of using Libby since I found out about their nonsense. I’m just one person but enough drops eventually fill the bucket! Appreciate you!
