I've really been struck by people's desire to self validate their beliefs by having others around who agree. It seems that much of the religious debates that slide around each other is all about other people falling in line with their way of thinking and using an old book to justify their bias.

If anything the past several years have pushed me very far to the left. I love being on the fringe left. It feels really good to care about the welfare of people so much that I want guaranteed housing and guaranteed healthcare. I've had it with the quintessential selfishness that capitalism encourages.

Whenever we actually balance the US budget we entered recessions. This is due to us removing more money from the global pool of money than we were contributing. When we radically increase our deficit spending, that would appear to be a major contributor to inflation.
To control inflation we need to remove some of the money from the system. Would increased taxation help? I think maybe.
So I've been slowly working my way through some older comics in my collection and I'm on Green Lanterns (2016ish). Having Simon Baz & Jessica Cruz wearing the green ring and facing their mountains of insecurities makes for such an enjoyable read.
For the first time since its inception, fox spews joins reality in abandoning tucker.

Historically, whatever the GOP has spent too much time railing against, that's what they turn to.
Government overreach - Patriot act. Tax and spend - trump tax cuts. Legislate from the bench - radical nuts on the bench.
So electing a fake news guru follows a sick pattern.
