@furby he's just rolling his and CM's horrible decision of banning absolutely anyone they slightly disagree with into the pile of "usual right wingers" even though that has literally nothing to do with it.
I was there from the get-go and there wasn't much in the way of religion (am an Atheist myself) or a lot of "little girls as profile pictures" he mentions of.
Initial tweet was in poor taste, was also replying to something that was completely irrelevant at the time (2 likes).
@interpeer it's becoming harder and harder not to hate Google. This will accomplish nothing for bad actors while it'll make internet a hell hole who don't use widespread browsers.
@taylorlorenz absolutely! I find it hard to interact with things without also linking the context via quoting.
@nixCraft isn't the entire site user driven? It'll continue to be shit as long as Reddit is a dick. I doubt they care about the quality of the platform & only see the quantity of the users. So fair game i'd say.

@nixCraft Google moment. They're becoming more evil every year. This is been the case since Pichai first took over in 2015.
@nixCraft honestly I'd be alright if they went fully paid & gotten rid of their algorithm (as it wouldn't matter as much). Even a buck/month would suffice for a platform their size.
However, this is the worst path they could've taken and ultimately will result in horrendous "YT vs it's community"
@nixCraft I'm not opposed to that at all. After all, it'll be a Fediverse instance which is only good.
