Will chill from Twitter/X until after the US elections. Almost all the hate Godot got over the weekend was pretty much people who had not a clue what a game engine is, what Godot is, or what a FOSS / community made project is. Most of the ones who did were the usual haters.

Checking profile of haters, majority pro-trump people with weird religious symbology, or people with avatars/obsession for anime little girls.

Sometimes I feel I am too innocent for this world.

@reduz perhaps I don't want to be involved with this but why are right wingers angry with a game engine?

@furby he's just rolling his and CM's horrible decision of banning absolutely anyone they slightly disagree with into the pile of "usual right wingers" even though that has literally nothing to do with it.

I was there from the get-go and there wasn't much in the way of religion (am an Atheist myself) or a lot of "little girls as profile pictures" he mentions of.

Initial tweet was in poor taste, was also replying to something that was completely irrelevant at the time (2 likes).

@Koffiato @furby, indeed. There are enough adequately concrete examples, like:

1. The CM stating that their actions were incorrect, and not merely that, were caused by inconsistent (in)adherence to their depression medication regimen: https://www.reddit.com/r/Asmongold/comments/1fse8jd/comment/lpl4e7s/

2. People were banned from contribution (*from a FOSS project*) due to their conduct on other platforms. That's stalkerish, and irrational.

3. One of the problematic moderators for the Discord is a racist: https://x.com/GamesNosh/status/1840499469160190381

@Koffiato @furby, since I made this comment, I was informed that the man banned from GitHub did so because he misused the issues to communicate his dislike of the aforementioned.

That wasn't the correct avenue for it, so although I wouldn't have necessarily banned him for it, it was undoubtedly rational. One shouldn't misuse development platforms for social media.
