Sewist, Dork, Cat Lady, Leftist, Atheist Hedge Witch... and probably old enough to be your mum. Notable fannish tendencies.

Thought I’d post some of my old #NerdStitch projects, that I only shared on the bird site before. First up, classic Mac OS β€œsampler”.

I told a joke on a Zoom Meeting and no-one laughed.

It turns out I'm not remotely funny.

In a conversation on reddit today someone asked if other languages have phrases like "rightie tightie, leftie loosie" to remember which way to turn screws/lids/etc. And one person answers that in Spanish, the phrase is:

"La derecha oprime, la izquierda libera."

or:

"The right oppresses, the left liberates."

(Now I kind of want to put this on a t shirt)

Bottle of prosecco to celebrate the fact that I don't have to go to Leamington Spa and back three times next week? Don't mind if I fucking well do

Only just spotted this from Cats Protection. It's only common sense to chip your cats & for any decent owner it's hugely reassuring for them to be chipped. #catsofmastodon

I'd like to brag about my wife.

As a librarian she got a grant that has brought wireless hotspots that people can check out to the library. They're always rotating in and out and provide free Internet to people who need it, and they get checked out with the library card just like books.
