I'd like to brag about my wife.

As a librarian she got a grant that has brought wireless hotspots that people can check out to the library. They're always rotating in and out and provide free Internet to people who need it, and they get checked out with the library card just like books.

@Unampho definitely worth bragging about.
@Unampho I like a person who praises their partner like this! Also, what a great idea. Am going to suggest this to my local library. :-)
@Unampho These wireless hotspots, are they mobile phones?
@LaChasseuse they connect to the same 4g towers and create WiFi, but aren't phones. Similar to a stripped down phone, I guess.
@Unampho your wife is awesome!!👏🥳

@Unampho
I've been with my honey for 53 years.. I always go on & on about her..I have never found the bottom of the bowl in ways to compliment her, or to anyone that wants to know.

Your honey is so blessed to have you.

The humble librarian has changed so many lives including mine.

@Unampho Congratulations to your wife! Who did she get the grant from?

@TheyOfHIShirts

"This grant is made possible by funding from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) as administered by the State Library of North Carolina [...]"

@Unampho Congratulations again, then. IMLS grants are great ones to secure, and I'll bet there's all sorts of really great data to feed back to them about the use and popularity of the hotspots.
@Unampho exceedingly belatedly, my wife and i got our library cards this past weekend and wandered around marveling at the new (2019) library in our city. very impressed to learn they too offer wireless hotspots and even laptops to check out
@Unampho libraries rock. USA does that right!
