@dramypsyd @pantransautie @actuallyautistic my son was diagnosed at aged 6 and we never delayed telling him, but it’s taken time for him to have an understanding (which I’m not sure he fully does yet).

@alimercerwriter it was before the heatwave but it was pretty hot and sunny most of the time. He was all hot and sweaty but either didn’t realise it, or just really didn’t like the idea of change.

@alimercerwriter they don’t tend to have much luck here, I think I only managed to get him to stop wearing it this year late June and he was keeping it fully zipped with the hood up!

@alimercerwriter we have the same with my son (8) and coats with season changes. It takes longer to get him to agree to going without layers when summer arrives though! He’s only agreeing to one if it’s raining for now because he hates being wet.
