"Response: is there anything there
if you never check? Refuse
the temptation to tip open the hatch
and send up a homemade periscope, a phone
strapped to a broom handle should do the trick"

The Blasted Tree
working from a popular coffee shop while my kiddo spends the afternoon at camp and the location of power outlets under the benches screams we didn't consult anyone disabled or with limited mobility during the design phase. cool!

I was recently interviewed for Read Alberta and the post is up! Loved chatting with Olajide about my chapbook, writing process, being a creative in Alberta, book picks, and more!

@AlaskaWx oh this is great!! Thank you.
@GramrgednAngel ohhh thank you!

Last night, kiddo said, “I want to learn ‘cute’ in every language.”

I knew cute (English) mignon/mignonne (French), and söpö (Suomi).

We thought it would be fun to slowly collect the words as we learn from friends, family, community, and our networks. So far, folks we know have added Hungarian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and German to the "cute" list.

If you would like to add to his list, I will pass it along!
