New-ish ham, into QRP & CW.
@TonyYarusso as you might imagine there is a whole area of DIY antenna and all that, depending on your use case it could be worth looking into
@TonyYarusso usually 1 bar at minimum, often more
Kiddo has camp inside a state park this week, took the van and works from the park all day. Did a lunch activation on 20m today, only managed 5 contacts but still had a great time
@qrper I had a good time despite band conditions!
Last weekend’s unsuccessful POTA activation at Farragut state park. Was still a great weekend
Finally had a successful SOTA activation today. Rode my bike up to Antoine Peak here in Eastern Wa. Managed the necessary 4 contacts, thank you so much chasers! And I’m always going to have two spare so239 connectors now, for the reasons you might guess.
@chrisfarnham what a little beauty!
@capheind @va3db I think they are just pdfs

From the QRP-L list I see two issues of CQ magazine are up for free.

Wow. Young people and women not just old folks unlike two amateur radio organizations I won't mention. *whistles innocently*
