Yesterday, as the #Easter Bunny retired for another year, I placed my last period in #EyesOnWillow.
I've been #writing short stories since I was 8, and have written many, but as I tried my hand on a #novel, I did so as a backdrop to a busy career and a family. For 5 years I have struggled to fit writing into my life, but yesterday I finally achieved my goal. Novel #1 is complete, and call me a sinner for the internal pride is blooming.
The cloud's neurons fire.
Static life branches downward,
to earth to take root.

Behind the chorus of anxious chatter and the wind’s somber breath, Hilda Bree screamed. The crowd hushed for a moment, listening to the thud of blind #body parts banging against the floor and walls of the old home. She screamed again and the people of Lowick grew still, smirking as she hollered. Hilda Bree had brought misery to Lowick, had killed three of the children she had taught in the schoolhouse, and the sound of her suffering had aroused those she once called friends.
