@nswigger Tesla made $2.8 billion in 2025.

Star Link made about $8 billion.

Spacex is the only loser, even with the $8 billion star link made it lost $5 billion, mostly because their AI division apparently is a bottomless hole.

@dyckron Well, you have a better chance than we do here in the States. Personally, I'm going off grid in Kentucky, with enough infrastructure to support my grandkids.

@dyckron I see Canada as Norway lite nation... And Canada would do well to change to an example for Norway to follow... 98% of cars sold in Norway are electric. And they are the 8th largest oil exporter. They use a tenth of the fossil fuels they export. I hope Canada follows this. They CAN.

@dyckron The Pentagon has been naming climate change as an existential threat, threat multiplier, or other similar terms since the mid 1990s. And yet, it doesn't seem like there is very much public preparedness here in the USA, or under Carney in Canada. Canada should be focused on preparing to defend their own border from American fleeing climate change. I don't feel they have enough population to significantly affect climate change.

New trials ordered for paramedics who injected ketamine into Elijah McClain in Aurora, Colorado

A Colorado court reversed homicide convictions against two paramedics on Thursday in the ketamine overdose death of Elijah McClain after the Black man was pinned down by police. The court ordered new trials for Aurora Fire Rescue paramedics Jeremy Cooper and Peter Cichuniec. McClain had been forcibly restrained by police, who responded to a suspicious person complaint and stopped the massage therapist as he walked home from a convenience store in 2019. Cooper and Cichuniec were found guilty of criminally negligent homicide. Cichuniec also was convicted of felony assault, and the appeals court affirmed that conviction.
