Via Mehdi Hassan:

If you want to understand the failure of U.S. journalism, especially the complete inadequacy of political interviews in this country, in a single short clip, here it is:

RADDATZ: What the heck did #Trump mean in saying his supporters won't have to vote again in four years?

CHRIS SUNUNU: Haha. I think that was a classic Trumpism, if you will.

RADDATZ: Ok. Let's turn to President Biden and Kamala Harris.

Harris for President statement on Trump's fascistic promise to end Democracy.

AI can never make art. And I don’t mean this in a dismissive way, it’s simply true by definition.

Art is not a painting or a sculpture or a video or a poem or whatever. That’s just a medium. Art is an attempt by one human to transmit meaning to another human. We value art because it’s a connection between us and another person. Really great art manages to make this connection with many people across chasms of time and space and experience.

AI can sometimes make pretty or interesting things. But it doesn’t make art any more than a pencil does. It can’t, because AI doesn’t have that drive to connect and share meaning.

Biden according to Trump:

An old, senile, sleepy man who cannot put 2 sentences together.

Also Biden according to Trump:

A criminal mastermind who took a time machine back to 2006 and convinced Stormy Daniels to sleep with Trump, and then traveled to 2016 to conspire with Michael Cohen to cover up the affair in an illegal way, using checks which Trump was tricked into signing, and then returned to 2024 to secretly control the trial against Trump… while running an entire country.

Pick a lane.

It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice. Anybody could do it; it required no brains at all. It merely required no character.” Joseph Heller, Catch-22

America has no excuse for letting a convicted felon run for president. Especially when his conviction is directly related to him stealing the last election. No fucking excuse. None. You can not change my mind. It is absolutely insane, reprehensible, and insulting to the people of this planet.
The Times has finally run out of things to write about....

Love Sticks? There’s an Instagram for That.

Those who appreciate “something as basic as a stick” are sharing their enthusiasm through a newly popular Instagram account.

One of the richest men in the 1920s was Andrew Mellon — an early prophet of “trickle-down” economics.

His grandson, Timothy Mellon, is bankrolling Trump's reelection.

Timothy uses his platform to rage against social programs.

This is how dynastic wealth works.

Wealth tax now.
