Propaganda and media thread 🧵

"While right-wing propaganda has its roots in the 1930s, it wasn’t until the ’70s that Republican thought leaders truly began seeding the notion that any media criticism of Republican policy exhibited a “left-wing bias” and should be discarded as unreliable. Well that was a bit "and now draw the rest of the owl" but I have a mostly-finished shirt! Would have been closer to done but I messed up on the collar interfacing, had to unpick a couple of things. Collars are tough but satisfying to complete, a bit like quilt binding.
I wear an N-95 for all patient contacts. Today I had a younger dude with a bunch of disparate complaints check in. Saw him, ordered some labs. Added on a COVID and flu test as an afterthought. Haven’t seen COVID in 2-3 months. Anyhow, he had the ‘vid. Bunch of staff rawdogging the air in the room commented about it afterwards. Yup y’all. You might now have diarrhea, headaches, and the rest. Don’t want the disease? Wear protection.

My fabulously beautiful new short story collection, To Wonder and Starshine, in person at last! Go get your copy of these charming tales! Out now from Trepidatio Publishing.

It's not garnering much attention, but the pace that California is displacing fossil fuels from their electricity grid using batteries is terrific to see.
