It's been frustrating. Toot.bike has been down for over a week. I was fazing out of bitbang.social-- so I was just waiting it out. I'm giving up. When I am approved, I will be moving to Mastodon.art. Call it mild frustration and appreciation of instances.

In computer world-- an oldster. I started with timeshare systems and messing around with a friends Kim-1. My first home computer was an Apple IIe. I have a host of other interests including literature, bicycling, canoeing, sailing, and cross country skiing. I'm also a ham: KA0GZO
I haven't always had so many bikes. In the eighties I had a Motobecane racing bike that I rode so much I needed to replace every component and the frame, save for the front hub and crankarms. Those were the days.
@meganL @ascentale @pete @bikenite Bridgestone and Rivendell... near and dear to my heart. I have an RB-1 and a T700... and yes, I am that old. :)
@ClimateJenny @ascentale @trouble @bikenite Where do I find the room? I am a part of a clergy couple-- so we have usually had two homes, plus a family cabin. Our retirement home has an extra garage stall.
.... and I should be more specific. I only ride the fatbike in the winter, because MN.
And from the Q6: I wasn't counting the two fixed gears :)
A5: I have 9 bicycles and one trike. The two non-working are a couple of fixed gears I received from a friend who was moving. They both need wheels and tires.
Most of them get used at least once a month. Less so for the fatbike in the winter.
( A fatbike, a SWB recumbent, a highracer recumbent, a full squish MB, a vintage MB, An RB-1 road bike, a recumbent trike, a loaded touring bike.)
Sigh. Is it ever over?
A4: I still use an old Camelbak with a bladder for offroad riding.
A2: I am on a blood thinner, so it's a helmet for me. I don't wear a hat underneath unless it's a toque when it is cold.
