Would you believe that this incredibly soft fiber is from my dog? She's a Great Pyrenees and this fall when she started to blow her coat, I harvested 1/4 of a pound of this gorgeous fiber just by combing her coat. I washed it like I would wash raw alpaca. There was even veggie matter in there--LOL! It was challenging to #spin fine (final yarn is 2-ply fingering weight) but worth the learning curve. @fiberarts #spinning #chiengora #fiberarts #wool
