Just to be clear, I don't agree with the "outside the pandemic" part of this statement as I think we are very much still in the pandemic.

The government have got a cheek citing “minimum safety levels” to impose restrictions on NHS workers striking.

Have the government seen the state of the NHS crisis they have precipitated?

Where are their minimum safety levels?

I’m trying to wrap my head around the widely discussed notion that if an infection is delayed then the cause is the delay rather than the infective agent itself. What? Delay is a pillar of preventive medicine for communicable & non-communicable diseases that’s now being vilified.

The chimney sweep hasn't appeared yet :-( I could have got up at a reasonable time instead of 6am to go for a #run because his time slot is 8:15am -12pm

In other news, an outsider/imposter cat wandered up to our catflap. I had spotted it and waited by the door for it to appear, then I shoved my hand through the catflap. It shat itself. Unfortunately so did my actual cat.

I'm of the firm belief that all black cats are nodes in a mycelial network, so they all know what a bastard I am now.

Simon Thompson, Chief Executive of @RoyalMail coming across really badly on @BBCBreakfast right now. Not conciliatory, evasive and clearly angry. @CWUnews

Solidarity with the Scottish teachers, university lecturers, RMT, CWU and nurses whether they are on strike today or planning in the future.

So important for the future that they get fair pay and working conditions.

Loads of folk here in #Glasgow, can't even get close enough to hear the speakers! #YesScotland #indyref2
Extremely depressed by Labour's framing of the debate about migration. Firms needing to wean themselves off an 'addiction'. It's xenophobic and dehumanizing language. At a difficult time when we have the boat crossings, deaths in internment facilities, and violent attacks on these centres.
@Jazzwerewolf as an English based Englishman who was against breaking the union last time, I find myself, and many like me, are growing in sympathy with this point of view. I think the views of the Scottish people have been ignored by an administration utterly focussed on a small, but vocal, demographic. I have a Scottish grandparent and the prospect of a Scottish passport, as a full EU member, would be very tempting.
