@atpfm @siracusa @caseyliss @marcoarment How do you feel UTM SE getting App Store approval impacts the calculus on the M4 IPad Pro? This weekend I picked up an 11 inch with 512gb and suddenly the extra RAM and storage of the 1TB feels significantly more justifiable/desirable.

I only considered a 13 inch for about 5 minutes after handling them but even that decisions seems hasty now. Makes me question a solid chunk of my prior assumptions and judgements.

@caseyliss Do you post/blog about your continuing and evolving experience with the Apple Vision Pro anywhere? Iโ€™m interested in both your recreational use as well as development use.

The nice weather has been yearning to be in the backyard while the kids play and the idea of a large virtual display or two floating above my kids while I do some lighter weight dev tasks sounds like a dream.

Every turtle should be provided with a skateboard.

Being a successful professional with ADHD sucks. Everyone assumes that just because you've gotten this far in life, then ADHD can't be that bad or disruptive to day-to-day life. In reality, I spend every waking moment of my day balancing the expectation to think linearly (ie "normally") with the expectation that I'll contribute unique insights that are made possible by the non-linear thinking that is a hallmark of ADHD.

It's exhausting.

Let's cure childhood cancer. Together.

There is no honor in making others struggle solely because you did. Persevering through difficulty is worth celebrating, but is often worth even more if you can lessen the burden for those who come after you, especially those less fortunate, less privileged. That way lies glory.
In the internment camps we learned valuable skills! Like how not to get shot for trying to escape, when we just running to use the public latrine on a freezing cold night.

Seriously, the opening of this Utah judge's opinion is *beautiful*.

A federal judge in Utah has ruled that drag shows are protected by the first amendment. "Public spaces are public spaces. Public spaces are not private spaces. Public spaces are not majority spaces. The First Amendment of the United States Constitution ensures that all citizens, popular or not, majority or minority, conventional or unconventional, have access to public spaces for public expression," begins the opinion. ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ”ฅ https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.utd.139943/gov.uscourts.utd.139943.63.0.pdf

I just stumbled upon a good way to answer the question "are you afraid of AI?" from folks who are less technically inclined.

Ask them if they consider the daily weather report โ€œartificial intelligence" and if they fear it.

Same thing: a bunch of real world inputs that yield a prediction that may be right or wrong. There may be a tornado - or maybe just cloudy.

Of course, if we place to much reliance on those predictions things can go haywire.
