This happens to me too — I also suspect because I once paired them to my dad’s phone. The AirPods show up under my name and his in Find My; I can’t find a way to remove them from association with his Apple ID, I guess until I next physically visit him? Weird.

I’m curious: is the (x) button in upper left functionally different from the “Cancel” button?
A favorite neighborhood bar sometimes does this charming thing where they place bottles out on the counter of whatever patrons are drinking at the moment, for all to peruse.
