Therapist and Coach, Author, Southerner trying to retain hope, book and travel lover, loyal Crimson Tide fan!
This may be TMI, but kidney stones run in my family and just under 5 years ago I found out I got them too. Haven't had any for a few years, but looks like I've got another one. It's always unnerving for me, so prayers are appreciated.

While I'm getting this thing up and running, here's a little about me:

I'm an associate professor (teaching) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), where I teach philosophy, religious studies, and interdisciplinary humanities courses.

I generally post on topics relating to comparative ethics, globally engaged philosophy of religion, Wittgenstein, China, and music.

And here's a link to my site: sites.google.com/view/thomasdcarroll/

The collapse of Twitter for (basically) self-inflicted reasons makes a strong case for building online infrastructure structured as a non-profit or public utility.

People rely on these platforms for public information, use them for democratic debate and many invest their livelihoods in them.

These platforms are too important to public safety, peoples’ livelihoods and democracy to leave in the hands of eccentric billionaires or the whims of stock markets.

Looking for other #therapists and #TherapistTwitter here! Give me a shout out if you’re a #MentalHealth professional!

Currently Masto.host is experiencing the highest volume of traffic that has ever reached the infrastructure.

The service is partially degraded and I will be doing fast upgrades on the platform.

These can lead to partial downtime, errors and large delays in support requests.

Really sorry. Doing the best I can on my end. Hope you understand. Thanks.

How is everyone doing tonight? We just got the newest Covid booster and picked up Mexican takeout and I’m looking forward to a cozy evening by the fire doing not much of anything. Party! How are you spending your Friday night?
How do we find people that are on other servers?
Hey everyone! I’m a therapist and coach who once upon a time was in ministry. I’m from Alabama trying to hang on to hope politically. I’m passionate about helping widows as I was widowed in 2014. I’m also passionate about women’s rights and am an unapologetic #jesusfeminist. My faith remains important to me even though I’m no longer as comfortable with church. I’m still trying to figure that out. I do life with my husband Matt and our dogs Ruby and River. I love books, travel, & the Crimson Tide
