Finishing up my second speaking engagement for this year. I'm open to any speaking invitations for 2023 on the topics of racial justice, spiritual formation, spiritual abuse, and Christian entrepreneurship. Feel free to reach out.

Also, if you know of anyone looking for a writer or editor who has experience with content strategy and operations management in Christian orgs, feel free to reach out as well.

In a few weeks I'll be at Central City Church in Columbus, OH
talking about racial justice and the church, solidarity, and maybe even a bit about Mosaic Coffee, my coffee roasting company.

If you're not local or otherwise can't make it, it'll also be offered via livestream:

This is one of the small ways I'm working locally for solidarity and racial justice. Columbus, OH, like every city in the U.S., has a history of injustice and marginalization of BIPOC communities. Working specifically with local BIPOC artists and creatives creates spaces to highlight their work, shed light on the injustices, and help pave a way forward for healing and mutual thriving.

Sharing this again for anyone who may be new here.

I'd love to have Mastodon be an extension of real life interaction, unlike that Twitter place. If you're in Columbus, OH, I'd love to meet up. If you're looking for a church (no pressure of course), feel free to check out where I currently serve: https://www.newcityhilliard.org/

Deacon (διακονέω)
The message of the cross cannot be divorced from the way of the cross. In fact, bearing the message of the cross with the way of glory and worldly power renders the message powerless.
The cross - in all of its self-sacrifice, humiliation, suffering, pain, and weakness - is the clearest moment in time when the power of God was made manifest in the cosmos. The power of God therefore cannot be sought without the way of the cross. Trying to gain power through any other means is essentially contrary to the way of the cross. Cruciformity cannot coexist with a bully Christianity that seeks to overwhelm and force the world into conformity.

If you want to minister to Asian Americans, you need to be familiar with stereotypes that we encounter on a regular basis. Here's a good start.
