I’ve never made red rice w/regular white rice but I was curious as to what that would entail for brown rice.
🍴: shredded bbq chicken, red rice using brown rice w/sweet bell peppers & crackers
✍🏽: leftover preseasoned chicken spent hours in the crockpot w/chicken broth then shredded & simmered on low heat w/sweet baby ray’s sweet bbq sauce & 2 cups of broth from the crockpot; the red rice: simmered scallions & sweet bell peppers in olive oil, removed scallions added rinsed brown rice to seasoned olive oil, lightly browned before adding 1 can of tomato sauce 2 cans worth of crockpot broth, brought to a boil then reduced to low heat until sauce thickened, let rice rest for 10-15min. Enjoy!
