The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is going to vote today on whether to allow SF police to *use robots equipped with deadly force* and do you really need to ask me if it’s a good idea? https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/11/red-alert-sfpd-want-power-kill-robots
Red Alert: The SFPD Want the Power to Kill with Robots

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will vote soon on a policy that would allow the San Francisco Police Department to use deadly force by arming its many robots. This is a spectacularly dangerous idea and EFF’s stance is clear: police should not arm robots.TAKE ACTIONEMAIL YOUR SUPERVISOR: don'...

This photo sent back by NASA's Orion spacecraft is marvelous.

A camera carried by the craft is looking back at the Moon and Earth as the mission reaches its maximum distance of about 270k miles.

There's no one on board, but this is the furthest a spacecraft meant for humans has travelled from Earth.

Now that the class is close enough to over and I've read enough student papers to really be confident that the class has worked, sharing my syllabus for this semester's undergraduate course on liberal political theory.

A reporter, on reading my article on the imperial Supreme Court and the odds against fixing it: “I don’t know if you have kids, but I hope you aren’t the one in charge of reading them bedtime stories”

Update: SG Prelogar has filed her reply brief in the Biden administration's shadow-docket request to unblock the student-debt relief program. SCOTUS now has all documents in hand. It could rule on whether to reinstate the plan (in whole or in part) at any time.

@design_law I want there to be a separate constitutional law bar where everyone has to have a degree in political theory to participate 🤣
@JacobDCharles Do those 5-10 people just post more? Also, do you use lists? E.g., I have a short list of people whose posts I definitely don't want to miss.

@JacobDCharles

I completely agree. And then have Bruen proclaim that laws that implicate the Second Amendment do not even have the chance to prove that they pass strict scrutiny!

God forbid that a state argues it has a compelling interest in not having a mass shooting every other day

I’m following a ton of people on here but I only see posts from like 5-10 consistently. What am I doing wrong with my timeline?
