The Distant Worlds 3 fleet is at Beagle Point for the weekend. I am doing some exploration in nearby systems.

Explorer, space trucker, mover of things. Find me in the Bubble or in Colonia.
The DSEV Odysseus will stay in-system until tomorrow, I have done the Helldiver Challenge and survived a trip to the surface of the World of Death, now it's time for a quick detour to Colonia as there's some more MetaElite stuff to do there.
So here's some life form you can find in the clouds at Colonia.

Cheers from Spoihaae XE-X D2-9 A 1, also known as "Monde de la mort" (World of Death) as its orbit goes trough the jets of the white dwarf star it orbits, and even through its exclusion zone.
As such there's only a small part of its orbit in which it is possible to land on it or take off from it. The rest of the time the approach will surely cook your ship.
The launch ceremony for Distant Worlds 3 is done (at least for those in EU timezones), now we wait aboard the official carriers for the fleet to start the months-long journey.
The Queen Bee will be my ship for the expedition, it's a Lakon Diamondback Explorer fitted and engineered for long-range travel that I've already used for the Distant Worlds and Distant Worlds 2 expeditions.
The view from the passenger deck of the DSEV Odysseus fleet carrier isn't bad either.
The Odysseus is one of four fleet carrier that will take part of Distant Worlds 3, this one will take the role of fleet pacing and double as a medical facility.
Only a couple hours left before departure.
Docked at Beagle's Rest, in the NGC 1981 Sector ZU-Y d27 system. The view from the pilot's lounge is really nice. A nebula and rings? Perfect combination.
