@daniel I feel like that's a little disingenuous. Conversations offers unifiedpush, that matrix can utilize to get people off Google's push implementation but I wouldn't catagorize it as a backbone.
@eliocamp that might be part of the problem. Try to get on a different server and you might be pleasantly surprised.

I understand how we got here, and why. Unfortunately this is yet another paver stone along the pathway to the defeat of Open Source by the very thing which owes its existence to it.
