Tax accountant in my early 30s. I like music and technology. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@marcoarment I believe the Air has a disabled GPU core.
@BasicAppleGuy That original Pages icon was so elegant.
@BasicAppleGuy I would enjoy reading a piece on your workflows and processes one day - especially those that integrate the iPad.
@hotdogsladies I just wanted to say that I really appreciated your comments and perspective regarding the concept of goals and accomplishments on the recent episodes of Reconcilable Differences and Do By Friday. I've listened to both episodes multiple times and I think hearing it framed in such a specific way in such sharp contrast to how goals were internalized by me in my youth was extremely insightful.
@atpfm #askatp Question on Marco's new Mac mini headless server. How do you intend to manage system updates and other maintenance with the need to restart (or power outages)? My understanding is that with FileVault enabled you have to have physical access to the machine in order to log in again. I'm not sure if Screen Sharing can persist through a restart if FileVault is disabled, but I know you can enable auto log-in. However, that seems very insecure. Curious to know your thoughts.
@hotdogsladies You know - I often don’t understand your posts, but they still make me happy. :)

I think the #Apple ad would work much better if it was reversed. All the objects should be expanding out of the iPad rather than being crushed into it

made this edited version in five minutes (thanks iMovie!)

@stroughtonsmith For me - the ability to have access to my personal library that isn’t available on  Music is an awesome feature. However, I wish they just did a dumb file upload. They try to be too smart with matching, reorganizing, etc. I pay for iCloud storage so just let me use it.

@siracusa Yes, that does indeed fix the jumpiness. I tried this experiment on both user accounts and the results were the same for roughly the same number of windows.

I believe this was also mentioned on the show, but hiding TextEdit with all 300+ windows seems to fix performance for all other visible windows immediately. However, as soon as I bring TextEdit back up everything comes to a halt.

@siracusa I dropped it to 302 windows and the lag is there, but the jumpiness is greatly reduced. I moved it up to 325 windows and it's now incredibly jumpy (as is the Safari window). A second user definitely seems to lower the threshold. And attempting to drag windows in this state causes an extreme CPU spike.
