Here is a really cool concept for a solid state #nuclear reactor for #nuclearpower. This is a podcast from Titans of Nuclear titled 'Ep. 395 - Brent Freeze and Lex Huntsman - Solid Atomic'. In short, my understanding is to take a reactor working in the fast spectrum and emitting Cherenkov radiation. Attach a photovoltaic cell tuned to the appropriate wavelength of the Cherenov radiation to produce DC electricity. Listen here:
