Pervy Orc fancier, Tolkien fanatic, aspiring webcomic artist and jack-of-all-handicrafts. He/huh?

Shâtaz is two years older than Graznikh and simultaneously his best friend and worst rival. Two years ago they got themselves into some serious trouble that somehow got Graznikh sent to the mines for life and landed Shâtaz a spot in the region's most infamous raiding band. Graznikh still hasn't forgiven him for it.

Zâhovar is the Mordorian equivalent of an utterly useless middle management boss who gets to stay only because the CEO thinks her constant fuckups are funny to watch.

Let's start off light with the NSFW content. Elves have no hangups regarding nudity and the forest is her second home, so Whindaër often goes skinnydipping on hot summer days.

It is custom for newborn Elves to get names from the father and mother separately. Whin's parents both chose the same name but for completely different reasons; Estelmaitë named her "the shadow of a birch" b/c of her short stature and Terenwen named her "an eddy at sea" b/c of her restless nature.

It can also be interpreted as "a swirling shadow" which is kinda prophetic considering her later fate.

Whindaër's name has a double meaning. Hwindë/Whindë/Whinn means "eddy" or "birch" in both Quenya and Sindarin. Dae means "shadow" or "shade" in the early Noldorin dialect of Sindarin and aer means "sea".

So it can both mean "the shadow of a birch" or "a whirlpool at sea". (1/2)

Praktash is a Black Uruk, the fearsome perfect soldiers of Lugburz. But he is unusually free-spirited and curious about the world, to the point of even rejecting the divine decree that all Uruks be soldiers and nothing more. Instead he scrapes by at the bottom of society as a bone-setter, wound-patcher, drugdealer and brewer of alcohol and the orcish energy drink ghâshpau. His sense-heightening lube is also quite popular.
Whindaër is another old OC of mine. She is a 90 yo Noldorin Elf who lives in the haven of Ferenlondë, at the mouth of the river that in Sindarin is called Lefnui. The daughter of a blacksmith and a silk singer, she loves drawing, herblore and exploring the temperate rainforest surrounding her home.

"In the Glow of the Mountain" is an 18+ webcomic and fanfic series that takes place during the 2nd Age of Tolkien's Middle-earth. It tells the story of Graznikh, a young Orc from the White Mountains who dreams about becoming a raider and catching the most elusive prey: a real, live Elf. But there are many obstacles to overcome first, chief of which is the raidleader who sired him and who seems hellbent on getting in his way.

I've been a Tolkien nerd for over 20 years and drawn Orcs for just as long. There has been some improvement in that time.

My main OC and the protagonist of my webcomic is Graznikh, a young Orc from the White Mountains who lives during the 2nd Age of Middle-earth.
