Yesterday I pulled down a wicked heavy box and found a large photo album of trustees and employees of the library. Imagine my surprise when most of the images in the back were of female librarians!
One really cool thing is that this is the 1st photo of Berta Lucy Brown that I've found. She registered to vote in 1920. This whole room inventory is paying off though it is sometimes tedious. #Libraries #Histodon #Suffrage
Still have only a vague idea of what is going on over here, but it is definitely calmer than over on Twitter.
Need to find the Librarians and Local Historians next. Who else can I moan about finding pressed flowers in a book from 1850??? #Libraries #LocalHistory #LocalHistorians #Ephemera #histodons
Today seems like a good time to repost this video.

Spent the last half hour of my day at work thinking about new programming. Thematic 3 month book club with a fiction, nonfiction, and then activity (craft, lecture, tour).
I had an established but dying book club gifted to me and I need to change it so I actually enjoy it.
Have any #PublicLibrarians done something like this for their adult patrons? #Libraries #BookClub
#Introduction #Histodons Hello everyone! I'm a former NPS Interp Ranger here in Boston and current Local History/Genealogy Reference Library at a public library. My itnerests are the 54th MA, Women's History, Destroyers in the Pacific theater, Yeoman (F)s, gravestones, outreach, and more.
Looking forward to a hopefully calmer platform lol
Still settling in here. No profile or cover image, but whatever.
Here is a photo of one of the first baby swans I've ever seen.
