Recently went to London and did a mudlarking trip. Here are some of the pieces we found along the Wapping stairs near where #CaptainKidd was executed. Transfer ware (blue willow), pipe stems (along the bottom), westerwald, potentially a piece of medieval pottery (green piece in the middle), and who knows what else. #Mudlark #Mudlarking #Archaeology #ThamesRiver

@mebrett https://www.nps.gov/subjects/hfc/national-park-service-style-guides.htm is my go-to.

I would think that there would be one for the Smithsonian museums too?

@mebrett I fear that adult summer camp will be like Mean Girls with more canoeing.

There are "adulting" merit badges that you can buy, but I want the more traditional ones. My girl scout troop sucked as a child, we went skiing instead of trying for merit badges

@mebrett I've been trying to find an adult merit badge group that isn't crazy. If they had a camp week that would be amazing. Paperwork sucks.
@TwShiloh Lewis and Harriet Hayden's lives. They are an amazing couple who helped hundreds of people out of slavery, fought for school and marriage equality, raised money and troops for the 54th MA, and have a scholarship that is still given out to Black students going into Harvard Medical School. I adore their badassery so much.
To each their own, but I cannot fathom why you would want to attend a powerpoint party if you weren't required to by work.

Yesterday I pulled down a wicked heavy box and found a large photo album of trustees and employees of the library. Imagine my surprise when most of the images in the back were of female librarians!

One really cool thing is that this is the 1st photo of Berta Lucy Brown that I've found. She registered to vote in 1920. This whole room inventory is paying off though it is sometimes tedious. #Libraries #Histodon #Suffrage

@Booklady100 Possibly fewer surprises in a photo archive like this? lol

These are two of the flowers, there are a few more but seems like many fell out over the years based on the shadows left behing on multiple pages.

@vocana Ah, someone put them in almost 200 years ago and they are now part of the object. So, they wll be collected, placed in an archival folder, and stored safely.

Still have only a vague idea of what is going on over here, but it is definitely calmer than over on Twitter.

Need to find the Librarians and Local Historians next. Who else can I moan about finding pressed flowers in a book from 1850??? #Libraries #LocalHistory #LocalHistorians #Ephemera #histodons
