Richard MurphyThe UK gov't can never run out of money. It's the only entity that can legally make as much of it as it likes. There are limits to doing so if it wants to control inflation, but anyone saying 'there is no money' doesn't understand how the economy works. Most politicians don't.
sgian dubhScotland is expected to be generating 41GW of renewable electricity by 2030. We are also expected to be consuming 6GW of electricity. That gives a net export potential of 35GW. That is the equivalent of todays UK total consumption. At todays prices of Approx £260 MWh. The estimated daily sales value would be around £220m. So, if taxed at 25% would generate £55m a day or £350m a week to the Scottish treasury. Any wonder the UK government is holding onto us so tightly!

Commitment to Irish nationalist assembly and drafting of Irish constitution to be “laid before a conference of all nations”. 🇮🇪 In Scotland, the traditional nationalist party (SNP) may face a similar defeat within the next few years having failed to champion its core policy. New pro-indy parties already emerging.
