I’m entertaining a Muslim man in my home and my little dog breached the perimeter, skated across the dining room table and leapt right into his arms while he was eating. I was horrified, of course, because Afghans don’t like dogs in the house let alone standing on their table while eating. He handled it with a smile and life went on. 😂

We used to pull up to the gas pump and a guy in uniform would pump our gas for us. In the rain. And the snow. And ice, too. Had it not been for the blatantly open racism and misogyny, what a time that would be to remember.
