I am a new person with a small knowledge of the workings of the site. Please can someone tell me where I can find out what this symbol means - and CW? Don’t know what that is either. Everything else I’ve pretty much fathomed

It was still quite breezy today but so grey. I saw five or six goldfinches in a treeand had trouble actually seeing their colours. It’s not my eyes. Morning walks are compulsory with the dogs, whatever the weather. Did see a nice Amanita muscari but the squirrels have been eating it

Good morning, another drizzly grey November morning here in Skåne but we still went out with the dogs. Heard a green woodpecker and saw about a dozen blackbirds sorting through the leaves.

Oak leaves are the best, they stay crispy even when it’s damp. Still lots of seed heads in the fields, making some of them look dead, as though it never rained.

Today’s song definitely has to be “Forever Autumn” by Justin Hayward.
