@anubis When code.europa.eu was set up (2020) Forgejo was not around, you had Gitea but it was rather a niece project and likely not the best solution either for a large public instance.

@lumi I will leave a reference to https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Community/issues/2184#issuecomment-7905679

That also applies to banning (or taking a stance against) generative AI projects from Codeberg. It has to be put to a vote by a active Codeberg e. V. member. I think someone is preparing such a vote, but basically takes time.

I don't get why they are moving to Codeberg, Github and Gitlab who are perfect for AI projects welcome them with open arms: https://chaos.social/@n0toose/116028664496144714

Codeberg must take a stricter stance against cryptocurrency projects

### Comment There are a number of cryptocurrency projects that exist on Codeberg such as https://codeberg.org/darkrenaissance/darkfi and https://codeberg.org/Flowee/thehub. Projects like these are already banned on Codeberg alternatives such as SourceHut. Allowing these projects is not a neutral...

@CyReVolt @Codeberg @forgejo That talks about VC funding and I'm quite confident nobody in Forgejo or Codeberg wants any of that. That's money with poison.

Are you using #Codeberg to host your favorite AI-assisted and otherwise vibecoded project because your desire for dopamine has utterly destroyed your willingness to learn new things? Do you neither care about how you're "flooding the room" of the free software ecosystem nor about the greater societal implications, insisting that "it is what it is"?

Check out #GitHub, the world's most popular AI-first platform! Copilot, annoying maintainers with slop, you'll fit just right in!

@IzzyOnDroid @forgejo Issue filters were already implemented for a very long time. It's merely you can now specify them via the search bar as well.
I recently learned from @algernon about a very useful behaviour on Github. When you visit a Github repository that a user you've blocked has contributed to, you see a warning. Now if I block github.com/claude, it's easier to see if a repository is worth checking out or not.

@argv_minus_one @techbot It does not. The code that's vulnerable never got into Gitea (thus Forgejo as well). It was introduced after Gitea forked from Gogs.
@aral @Codeberg It is a known issue, I hope to have it fixed soon.
@famfo positive words about Go? That's unheard of.
