@atomicpoet Yes. I started playing games on Linux in 2010, and for the games I've tried then, I did see performance gains. I wrote how-to guides on running certain games on Linux back then.
I especially love #WorldOfWarcraft #RunesOfMagic #GuildWars (and later #GuildWars2 in 2012) because I was able to challenge some gamers to give it a try (they're not Linux users at all). They can't believe those Windows-only games run much better on #Linux.
(Most of them now knows more about Linux than me. 🤣🤣🤣 Successful conversion!)
I'm sure this puts me in a minority of one, but I really like seeing wind turbines. I don't think they ruin a view at all.

They're a testament to human ingenuity. We've built a device that turns wind into electricity, and stood it up in the ocean a mile out to sea.
I don't think we appreciate how downright miraculous so much of the infrastructure around us is.
Every time I see wind turbines or a solar farm, it gives me a tiny bit more hope for the future, so I think they're gorgeous.
