I'm reading Where The Crawdads Sing at the moment, and I'm up to the bit where Kya is reading A Sand County Almanac. I need to reread that after this.

Our only oil refinery is in the middle of a heavily hispanic, lower income area. And guess what, the refinery regularly "malfunctions" and just happens to spew pollution into a poor and brown community.
Lots of reasons to shut that place down and environmental justice is another good reason.
