I use Social Media:
(A) To craft slogans in hopes of helping to end the GOP madness (and)
(B) To tone down the angry, insulting rhetoric so-popular with so many of our frustrated, angry, heartsick compatriots.

The best thing about #Twix alternatives is that they don't compel my attention like that algorithm-driven agitator did. Either I've grown less-creative in reactions to the Madness, or else I am "out to sea."*

@Teri_Kanefield I began reading the 5-post thread from the top, the 5th one. I hesitantly guessed that you were somehow describing an interview situation with Mr. Trump. Maybe in connection with your recent book.

The dead giveaway came when your particular miscreant suggested the possibility of an appeal.

As long as the world's people pick sides, in the 77yr Israeli conflict with Palestinian refugees, the conflict will continue, along with the atrocity. We can continue tallying hostages/prisoners/victims as if they are stick figures. It adds fuel to the atrocious fire. Imagine if more than 20% of Palestinian refugees were Jews. Would that change your views? It would change mine.

@bkahn

Many crimes have statute of limitations, here in the States.

I can think of only one reason that misdemeanors related to immigration issues do Not have a statute of limitations.
I'm not saying that the one reason is Racism. But others might want to do the math.

@JackTheCat
How is Israel to blame and not either Hamas or the Arab/Muslim world, or the rest of us?

The suffering among the people of the Gaza Strip has beyond horrific. Yet Hamas sustains it with the lives and deaths of the remaining 7 October 2023 hostages. And those who support Palestine, governed by Hamas, share responsibility, despite how much they try to shift the blame to Israel.

I don't care what us Liberals say: I don't see how Mr. Trump can be held responsible for the flooding deaths that we are seeing here, now, throughout central Texas. It was a hundred year event, and even Mr. Trump hasn't been around to torment us quite that long. It only seems twice as long.

@Ann1944 @BernieSanders

Excuse me, but who the Hell does Sen. Sanders think he's talking to?

I had a narcissistic parent with the same limitation of being unable to change. They just could not see any sense of the "why" to change, as in "what's in it for them"? I finally broke away to gain space, and only then recognized the full abuse and damage. Unfortunately, for the U.S. to break away and "recognize the...damage" would take an act of Congress. Congress is still either deluded or afraid. So we're just going to need to keep on working this out.😐

3/ "The truth is that Donald Trump is not, in his blackened, Big Mac-clogged heart, a warmonger. Trump is also not a peacemaker. His attitude about war and peace, life and death, and policies that reverberate for 340 million Americans, 91 million Iranians, and the rest of the world centers on One Big Idea: What’s in it for Trump? His only ideology is toxic narcissism."

Since leaving #Twix and coming over to @BlueSky and @Mastodon, I find that I have a lot less chaos coming into my life, and a lot less witty and clever things to post in response.

Your loss. Sorry!😎
