Believer, Kansan — Seeking to play every Uwe Rosenberg game
Got a 4P game of Glass Road in the picture I took was pretty lousy it was for something else and this is the game at setup not end game. But I finally got Glass Road played! and it is FANTASTIC! The game is so simple but the card play is so much fun, sometimes you want to match, other times you don’t. The buildings are satisfying to build and the resource wheels are wonderful, they’ve always been a favorite Uwe mechanic for me. We WILL be playing again 4.5/5 ⭐️ #EveryUwe #BrettSpiele #BoardGames

I had to take a break last night, I spent too much time on socials.

3 more plays of Nusfjord over the week of my birthday.

2P - 50m
4P - 2hr36min
1P - 34min

I won the 4P and Solo plays, Rachel smoked me in the 2P game. I really can’t get enough of this game. It was my all time favorite but the big box is such a welcome change of pace. It’s the perfect solo game. All time favorite 5/5 ⭐️#EveryUwe #BrettSpiele #BoardGames

Fishing - 4P - 1Hr5Min

This little trick taker is fun! I commented while playing they it felt like you were actually on a boat, being tossed around on the sea. The swings the fishing deck would create made it so you never knew just how strong any one person’s cards were, but if you won a bunch of books, you’d pull out to a commanding card lead and not get the benefit of the fishing draw. Great game 4/5⭐️ #BrettSpiele #BoardGames

Windmill Valley - 4P - 2Hr53Min

This game is surprisingly good. Yea it’s beautiful, but it’s also so elegant in its simplicity. You basically just do four things on your turn. Improving your rondel and getting a satisfying combo feels so good.it was a little longer than it should have been, but it was a solid play. 3.5/5 ⭐️ #brettspiele #BoardGames

Silos - 4P, 91m - Winning score: 5

Silos is a remake of Municipium by Dr. Reiner Knizia. He re-themed it, and tweaked it slightly. And it is fantastic. Tons of game packed into this box with a tidy play time for a first play. The area control, mixed with the space activations, with the known information that helps you make pace of play decisions and manipulate outcomes. somewhat, to the stress of people sticking it to you or the pressure of when to trigger an abduction, it just works. 5⭐️

Played Critter Kitchen and Silos last night with friends.
Critter Kitchen - 4P, 96m - Winning score: 28

Critter Kitchen is great, Big Flamecraft vibes, from the art to the token selection process. It seems like it has many more potential variations than Flamecraft though. It was great and scoring was pretty tight with only ten points difference between the winner and loser (me I was the loser 😂)

Silos thoughts in the reply.

Played SETI with a dear friend tonight. He’s a huge influence on my love for board gaming. We actually met randomly on r/boardgames and we’ve been close friends ever since. He was even a groomsman in my wedding! Wild story. Anyway, SETI: 2P, 2hr 5min playtime. Fantastic game. It gives off some pretty big Arnak vibes, with the different scoring avenues, card play, turn structure, and big combos. But it’s a unique game that’s just mechanically different enough that I think it’s gonna stick around.

Thanks to my dear friend @jerk Rachel and I got Portals played tonight. Fantastic little game. 2P only, played in 30 minutes on the dot. Feels like the classic trilogy of tile placers but a fantasy twist with the additional path to collect tokens through spells. The tile selection mechanism is pretty solid. I wish the spells had special powers or abilities associated to them, but overall, a great little game.

Thanks my friend!

We haven’t given up on the quest to play every Uwe. On Sunday we played Nusfjord, which is my absolute favorite Uwe. It’s a masterpiece. The decision space is so tight, the scoring so close, and it’s full of all the classic anxiety and stress that are hallmarks of Herr Rosenberg’s games. 5/5, must play. #boardgames #brettespiele #EveryUwe
