Ooh there's a ton of these mushrooms (I assume!? Doubting myself now πŸ˜†) in one of my raised beds at the #allotment ! Probably will leave them be? Hope this means happy soil (albeit wet!), ready for beetroot seeds to be imminently sown...🀞🏻
(Hm brief web search returned gardening site saying "the discovery of mushrooms may prompt feelings of unease" - noooo, people, get excited by them! 🀩)
My full-on March continues with a packed day off, but there is a professional chocolate tasting session featuring today so that's exciting! πŸ˜‹ And I'm starting slow as my lovely lady is zonked on my lap having twitchy dreams πŸ₯°
And here's my obligatory start of season photo for delicious comparisons later on. Will the jostaberry take?? Will I mostly succeed in chard and squash like last year? Will my raspberries ever start spreading? Can't wait to find out! 🀩 #allotment
And they're in! With thanks to @Sarah111well let's try again to have flowers and lavender in the #allotment 🀞🏻 I really should have checked spacing but too late now! Hope a brick and edging will stop the cats toileting there...
Happy #Caturday folk! Today's challenge: can you lick your own nose this cutely? (Please don't strain any face muscles trying)
My first bottle of wormery leachate diluted to become food for the #allotment πŸŽ‰ Reusing bottles as always, but it is identical in colour to the original squash and best kept out of the sun on the table where squash usually sits for dinner and guests...what could possibly go wrong 🀣
It's not *in* my #allotment but I'm still thrilled I got to adopt a Cab O'Worms wormery from a woman who's moving πŸ’• Am feeding them little and often, nothing acidic, all chopped up small with added paper fibre, checking if liquid to drain... But some worms are still climbing up into the lid and on top of their "duvet" (that coir(?) bit that covers the waste) even though they have loads of food still to process. Do I need to worry? I don't want unhappy worms that want to leave me πŸ₯Ή
It's definitely #Caturday ! Spotted more woodchip at the allotments and after a hard session lugging that about, I collapsed under my blanket and was rewarded with a foot massage 🀩 Thanks, Bumble! πŸ’•
I'm so glad I got extra pyracantha bushes to keep the blackbirds happy πŸ˜†
I wouldn't say it went well, but otoh I don't know how I could have done any better. I left options to pin the liner to the fence at the back, into soil at each side (too tricky today though); overlap on patio doesn't bother me. Maybe when the water settles (it looked great till I poured the old pond in!) and plants regrow it'll be ok. Ah well, it's undoable, I learnt from & enjoyed the project, and it was worth a try to keep the pond snails alive!
