As far as today's two teams in the #Superbowl, I saw that they both have the same records AND the exact same points scored this season. I doubt that's ever happened even w/o both teams going to the big game. Anyone know?

Okay sports fans, here's a unique one - me friend's wife records the Superbowl, then starts playback about an hour & a half after the game started, then fast-forwards past all the football to just watch the ads and halftime! Not making it up. I do the exact opposite.

Just heard that the great Burt Bacharach has passed at age 94. A songwriter & arranger without peer. Key changes, odd time signatures that were so smooth no one ever realized they'd happened. Every note in his arrangements were there for a reason, and none superfluous. Pop music at its most sophisticated. Google his discography + I guarantee you'll be surprised by some titles. Thank you Mr. Bacharach.

As a guy who has been in #recording studios most of my life I'm constantly fascinated by the idea that engineers and artists are now buying plug-ins to recreate technology that people hated when it was new. I always like the sound of cassettes but most didn't. Now they're paying good dough for emulators of cassettes, scratched vinyl, hiss, echoplexes, & tools to trash sounds in ways you can't imagine. What goes around comes around, right?

Mike Pence: ‘We’ve got to have a conversation’ about reforming Social Security. Saying that 70% of government spending is on entitlement programs, Pence asserted, “And the truth is we’ve got to have a conversation.”

The vast majority of voter would disagree that a discussion is necessary regarding SS—especially considering that the source of the money is the recipients and their employers. We think the discussion should be about tax rates for the wealthy and corporations.
