Raphael Warnock winning: What a relief.
Herschel Walker getting that many votes: What a sad commentary.
"Warnock’s win makes this the first midterm since 1962 when Democrats netted Senate seats while controlling the White House; that previous election took place just days after John F. Kennedy successfully resolved the Cuban Missile Crisis. And until now, the last midterm where the president’s party didn’t lose a single Senate seat was 1934, when Franklin Roosevelt was in charge."
Is it too late for House Democrats to get ahold of the translator's notes from Helsinki--you know, from 2018 when the White House occupant betrayed America to side with Vladimir Putin?
Oath Keepers' founder Elmer Stuart Rhodes has been found guilty of seditious conspiracy. That's a start. What about the higher-ups--including the highest higher-up--who helped incite the day's events? Weary eyes turn to special counsel Jack Smith.
It's hard to overstate how much abuse I've been bombarded with on the bird app since Musk took it over with plenty of his MAGA acolytes engaging in ugly attacks and calling it "free speech." Meanwhile, Apple threatens to drop Musk's platform of abuse and he complains that they don't believe in "free speech." Sound familiar?
Condemning a GOP presidential candidate for dining with a neo-Nazi and holocaust denier should be the easiest thing for Republicans to do. Their refusal to do so makes clear how much Trump has succeeded in normalizing this dangerous behavior.
Glad to be here where I think people can tell the difference between mindless ad hominem attack and actual discourse involving opposing views. As for the bird app, increasingly another story.
Kindness matters.
