The Section 31 movie is easily one of the worst films I've ever seen in my entire life, and I don't throw that shit around.

Apart from it spiritually being a cybertruck in a Star Trek logo wrap, it is also just an egregiously poorly-made film. I've been watching a loosely-connected series of scenes where the cast stands in a circle and explains the plot in various settings. THAT'S NOT HOW YOU MOVIE

Never forget: misogyny is a skill issue

Came across this elsewhere, and it seems a good reminder of how the Civil Rights fight was actually won.

Successfully fighting for civil rights requires multiple parallel strategies, *and those "lanes" can't overlap*. Someone who's protecting people, for instance, needs to be squeaky clean, legally, so the baddies don't have a pretext to come after them and the people they're protecting--which means they can't be showing up to disruptive protests in person.

To everyone when they see horrible privacy news about Microsoft replying with:

"I don't care, I use Linux"

Sure, you do. But does your medical clinic do? Does your therapist do? Does your family member typing a personal email to you in Word before sending it do too?

This is a systemic problem.

You cannot protect your own data only by using Linux yourself. You must also demand stronger regulations and enforcement to obligate organizations around to protect your data as well.

β€œCan it provide healthcare for its people like most other countries?”

β€œNO! But look, we made a plagiarism machine that burns thru a shitload of energy and water to produce middling and unreliable information! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘β€

It's funny cuz it's true.
