Alright, it's not like how I thought it would look but, following on @tinker advice, we've got (delightful) growth. Here are some photos from this evening, 35 days from start with seed. Some thoughts: overhead photos are less impressive especially at the start - and don't capture reality when growth really gets going.
My SmallPerson proposes we do a taste test with grocery butter lettuce and our home grown. Still deciding how/when to harvest, but probably within the next day or two.
Here's are photos of day 16 - counting from the day I set it up from seed. In case you can't see the labels, I've got arugula, 2 lettuce, one butter lettuce and a radicchio.
The lettuce seems weirdly "leggy" and limp. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I can do to fix it?
