Am I the only one bothered by the online shopping term "shopping bag"? Does anyone use a shopping bag PRIOR to checkout IRL? No. We use baskets and carts. A bag is for after purchase, not for toting around the store while you shop. There are quite a few sites that use the term and it drives me up the wall.

Holiday creep is generally caused by marketing ploys. The creep of Veterans Day is trashy, since it's a combination of all of the "Veterans Day sales" and the fetishization of the military by the Right. It's ugly, and a disservice to those who fought to protect us from fascism.
I honor and respect the sacrifices made. Not a week-long 10% off some garbage from China sold by a corporation that profits from suffering.

I'm trying to figure out why so many of the #mytopshelf photos are blurred out as "sensitive" when they're ... just books. I saw one titled "caste" that might be the problem there, but others are quite mysterious.
