Just thinking about how Riven is one of the most important pieces of media in regards to my personal artistic growth.
I was 16 when it released, figuring out who I was.
It activated new(to me) creative ideas with a fascinating and believable world full of beautiful visuals and amazing music.
It became part of my creative and artistic foundation and I love it dearly to this day.
I am apparently no longer any good at Mortal Kombat 2 arcade.
Just got destroyed lol
While out at the local barcade. Played some games, had some drinks. Was a good time!
I have to laugh at myself.
All my life, shaking my head at people older than me who hate new technology.
“They just don’t get it, I guess” I would say.
And now here I am, scoffing at all the AI things. Occasionally angry at all the AI things. Hating them, even. What have I become? Lol
@[email protected] it’s a great representation of most of my days lol
Trying to have a weekend
@andybaio this rules

Last month, I saw this wonderfully entertaining process video of artist Cat Graffam recreating Goya's "Saturn Devouring His Son" in Mario Paint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJSx7q-Mt0c

I loved it so much, I bought it… in the form of the original Mario Paint cartridge she made it on. It's my new favorite possession. Digital art ownership with provenance and scarcity, no blockchain required!

@Andrewhinton @gedeonm as would be TootBot, I imagine
@Rachael yeah, I had a similar experience. Makes me sad, I wanted to like it. But I just bounced off it quickly.
