My theory is the hubris of thinking they can make something that will appeal to more people than the original art instead of understanding what made it a beloved franchise in the first place. Put another way, just stay congruent with the existing lore.

Issues like that are why I will never bother wasting my time on Rings of Power or season 4 of The Witcher. That Halo series was bad, too

@mr_penguin People aren't talking about it much compared to age verification. But I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
We shouldn't have to use old technology (use old car forever / use old OS forever) to retain the same standard of privacy and quality of life.

I recently started researching sandboxing Claude Code in a VM using VMW for personal use, so sounds like I made the right choice. Right now, planning to use Pop OS, but I'm open to being convinced to use another distro.
