Why were Americans shocked when #Trump tweeted that we should terminate “all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution"? Outlandish and dangerous as that may be, we found that roughly one third of Americans agreed with that sentiment--that it's alright to get around the law--before he won in 2016. We compared these anti-democratic views with survey data from the 1950s and found considerable stability on several fronts.

Seems a lifetime ago. Will happily clear my schedule to give a talk again sponsored by the @UF Alumni Association. Love connecting with #UF #Gator alumni.
Hmmmm...What might GA Republicans really be thinking when they say, “Georgians deserve better than Democrats scheming to change election laws in the eleventh hour"? Could it be that Black voters in the state disproportionately vote on Saturdays in #Georgia, as my research with Michael Herron clearly shows? Here's a link to the #NAACP LDF's brief citing our work: https://electionsmith.files.wordpress.com/2022/11/final-ldf-amicus-brief-ga-2022-cv-372734-1.pdf

Here's the #LDF and #ACLU amicus brief in the #GA Senate runoff lawsuit over Saturday early voting:

Features a forthcoming article in Journal of Election Administration Research & Practice by Michael Herron and me. #APSR rejected it. Turns out, R2 was spot on!
